Your First Visit to First Baptist
New to the area? Haven’t been to church in a long time? Coming to church for the very first time? We know most people have questions when visiting a church. We hope to answer some of those questions here, but if we’ve missed something please contact us and let us know!
What is your Sunday schedule?
Our Sunday School classes begin at 9:00 am, and the Worship Service begins at 10:15. We also have Discipleship Classes and evening worship at 5:00 pm. See our complete schedule HERE.
Where do I go?
We have several visitor parking spaces in the front of our parking lot, closest to the Worship Center. As you enter through the main glass doors to the Fellowship Hall, you will find a friendly greeter who will welcome you and direct you to our Worship Center or to one of our small-group classes.
Where do I fit in?
Sunday School small groups are the perfect way to meet other believers, make new friends, and grow spiritually. We have classes for all age groups from nursery to senior adults. We also have a Friendship Class, taught by competent and caring teachers, for those with special needs. One of our greeters can point you in the right direction. Give one of our classes a try; there’s no pressure if it doesn’t feel like the right fit – you can always try a different class next week.
What about my children?
We have first-class childcare for your newborn or ( baby ) where they will be kept safe and well supervised by loving adults. We also have special times of worship designed just for the kids.
What do I wear?
There is no dress code required to attend one of our services. You’ll see men wearing suits and ties, and women wearing dresses, but you’ll also see jeans and t-shirts. Our concern is not what’s on the outside, but what’s on the inside. Jesus accepts us as we are when we come to Him, so why shouldn’t we?
