Blood Drive Update

We will not be having a spring blood drive, but are scheduled to have a summer blood drive on Sunday, July 28th.  This blood drive will be dedicated to the memory of Donna Cain.

 

Baby Dedication

Sunday, May 12th, during our 10:15 am worship service.  If you would like to dedicate your baby to the Lord during this service please call the church office with your info ASAP.

 

Mother’s Day Brunch

Sunday, May 12th  -  All mothers are invited to enjoy snacks in the fellowship hall beginning at 8:30 am.

 

Children’s Ministry Family Night

For all parents and K-6 teachers  -  May 18th @ 6pm.  Sign up by May 12th in the Fellowship Hall.

 

Change for Change

The GAs would like to invite you to be a part of making a change in the life of an orphan.  Jeff and Cheri Maddox are adopting their second daughter from China.  We are collecting change and selling T-shirts to help them fund their adoption.  Please see our GAs at the table in the fellowship hall for more information or to purchase a shirt.

 

WEE Care Registration

Registration for the 2013-2014 school year is now open for FBCM members.  Registration opens to the public on April 2.  WEE Care offers weekday early education for ages 18 months through four years.  Classes are from 9:30 – 1:30 on Tuesdays – Fridays (days of classes depend on the child’s age).  Contact Kim Hutto for more information.

 

Men’s Ministry

Meets at 8:00 am the first Friday of each month at Lisa’s Restaurant in Hazel Green.  2nd – 4th Fridays of the month – Bible Study at FBCM at 8:00 am.  All men are invited!

 

Homework Helpers

New Mark Ministry after-school program.  If you can listen to a child read or help a child with homework you are qualified to be a member of this important ministry team.  Homework Helpers will be on Wednesdays after school until suppertime.  If you can help in any way please call the church office or contact Dena Wagner.

 

Sharing a Full Cup

Stop by the Friendship Class table Sunday mornings and buy a cup of coffee or refreshments on your way to class.  All proceeds go to help support the children of San Antonio, Guatemala.

 

Penny Project

Help feed the homeless by donating your “Penny Items” each week to the Penny Project.  Drop them off in the brown box in the fellowship hall and they’ll be delivered to the Rose of Sharon.  To learn more go to www.pennyprojectnow.com.
