Pastor's Note
Hello and Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
Thank you for visiting our website! We are a Southern Baptist Church that began as a mission church in 1987 when the Madison Baptist Association began five churches on the same Sunday in March of that year. When you come to First Baptist Church you will very quickly realize that we are a family. Here in the family of First Baptist, we believe that we must preach and teach the word of God. We also believe that we must obey the "Great Commission" and seek to make disciples of all the nations. Finally, we constantly remind ourselves of Jesus' command in John 13:34-35 that our greatest witness to the reality of our own faith is our love for one another. So . . . we are family and we hope that you will take the opportunity to be our guest very soon! If you have either children or teenagers, our children's and youth ministries are absolutely wonderful! If you are a senior adult, we have a very active Primetimer's ministry in which we meet and also take regular trips led by our associate pastor, David Hutto.
