Vacation Bible School- Twists & Turns

IT’S TIME TO LEVEL UP VBS!

Spin the spinner, beat the clock, skip ahead, level up, and play to win! You’ll need to bring your A-game for this VBS. Twists & Turns is a fantastical celebration of games of all kinds. From classic tabletop games to video games and more, kids will play their way through VBS while learning that Jesus guides them through all the twists and turns of their lives. They’ll find that even when they mess up it’s never “game over.”

Join us the week of June 26th through 30th from 9 to 12 for a week full of learning and fun! Our theme this year is Twists & Turns – Following Jesus Changes Everything!

At FBCM, VBS is for children entering Kindergarten through kids finishing 6th grade! Registration IS OPEN NOW!!! We can’t wait to see you!

Vacation Bible School

Frequently Asked Questions

What ages are eligible to come to Vacation Bible School?

All children who are entering Kindergarten to children who just completed 6th grade are eligible to participate! Invite friends and neighbors to join us, too!

If your child is entering Kindergarden, select “Pre-School.” For all other grades, select the grade your child just completed.

Is anyone eligible to volunteer at VBS?

We only allow teens and adults who regularly attend FBCM to volunteer at our VBS. All VBS workers are required to complete FBCM’s screening process.

What should my child wear?

Casual clothes such as shorts and t-shirts with closed-toe shoes such as tennis shoes (no flip flops).

We are planning on having lots of fun and will have a game time outside every day!  We also recommend that you apply sunscreen on your child before dropping him/her off.

What should my child bring?

As little as possible. They will be moving from room to room, and unnecessary stuff can get lost easily.

What types of snacks will you serve?

VBS snacks each day will be fruit, cookies, and/or chips.  You may provide an alternate snack for your child if he or she has food allergies.

If you would like to bring an alternative snack, please label it with your child’s name and grade and leave it with the kitchen crew.

Where are you located?

Our address is 175 Monroe Rd. Meridianville, AL 35759

How do I know what group my child will be in?

We usually finalize the groups on the weekend before VBS begins so when you check in your child, your child will have the group’s assignment next to his/her name.

What time should I bring my child?

If possible, please register your child online prior to checking in by clicking HERE.

Monday registration will open at 8:45 am. The main session doors will open at 8:50 am for drop off.

We ask that a parent/adult walk your child into the building and drop them off at their group each day.

How do I pick up my child?

Please park and come in to pick up your child(ren). We will ask you to show your security sticker to enter the building.

If you forget or lose your child’s security sticker, please visit the registration table for a replacement. You will need to show a photo ID.

We recommend that you take a picture of your security sticker as soon as you receive it in case it is lost or forgotten or in case you need to send it to someone for the purpose of picking up your child.

What if someone other than me is picking up my child?

Please let your child’s leader know at drop-off if someone other than you will be picking up your child. Be sure to give your child’s security sticker or send a picture of it to that person. If that person does not have your child’s security sticker, he/she will be asked to step aside until you can be contacted.

What if I need to get in contact with my child while they are at VBS?

Please text (256) 502-6425‬, and someone will contact you. You may also call the church office at (256) 828-1607.

Is there a cost?

No, but we will be featuring a missions project throughout the week. There will be a competition between the boys and the girls. So feel free to give your child some change to put in the missions offering!
